About the project
Kiln Place is located in Gospel Oak, a tranquil area of the London Borough of Camden.
The new residential complex places its residents within a 4-minute walk from the southern tip of Hampstead Heath, which provides 790 acres of green space for city dwellers to forget about the bustling streets of London. The enormous list of facilities at Hampstead Heath includes a lido, playgrounds, cricket, rugby and football pitches, a training track, and tennis courts. Aside from sports, the wild park offers expansive meadows, ancient woodlands, and charming ponds that provide a serene atmosphere for wandering visitors. In addition, Hampstead Heath boasts breathtaking views of London from one of the highest points of the city.
Apart from the vast green space of Hampstead Heath, Kiln Place offers a collection of cosy cafes, vibrant bars, endearing coffee shops, and authentic restaurants. Within walking distance, you can find award-winning lagers and ales, served in an old brewery, delicious sourdough Neapolitan pizzas in one of the most popular pizzerias in the United Kingdom, and a cup of hot coffee in a small homey coffee shop.
4 minutes away, the Gospel Oak station connects you to the rest of the city.
What is the architectural style of the complex?
Kiln Place is a collection of 8 mid-rise buildings, standing along Kiln Place Street. The six houses on the western side of the street create a peculiar form with the middle units slightly broader than the ones on each end. The other two buildings stand across Kiln Place Street.
The battered-effect sandy brickwork comprises the façade, making it look warmer and cosier. The wide floor-to-ceiling windows are accentuated with green frames. The façade also features green cantilevered balconies with straight-line railings that match the colour of the windows. The rear of the buildings boasts a garden area that along with roof terraces provide plenty of green space.
What is on the territory of Kiln Place?
Each house benefits from a roof terrace and a courtyard that provide a private green space to escape from the outside world.
Kiln Place is a car-free zone, therefore, there is no car parking available on-site.
Safety-conscious, the developer has equipped each floor with heat detectors and smoke alarms. In addition, within 3 metres of the boiler, there is a carbon monoxide alarm to prevent residents and guests from CO poisoning.
