About the project

Located right in the heart of London, Brigade Court is nestled in Borough, a popular area situated on the south bank of the River Thames. It has gained its popularity as a centre of creativity and art of the past, which has evolved since then but has also managed to preserve its heritage. Borough is home to such historic sites as Shakespeare’s Globe, the Old Vic, and Winchester Palace, juxtaposed at the same time by the modernity of Southbank Centre, Tate Modern, the London Eye, and the National Theatre.

Positioned at the centre of Borough, Brigade Court has various types of transportation within easy reach. On one side, there is the Thames Clipper ferry, providing access for swift navigation of the river, while on the other, within an 11-minute walk, there is Elephant and Castle, a major road junction with the London Inner Ring Road and the A3 passing through it, with the latter connecting the City, Gatwick Airport, and Portsmouth.

What are the project features?

Brigade Court is a revived set of buildings that used to belong to the London Fire Brigade, mixed with new builds. The residential complex, set around a central courtyard, offers three modern buildings, ranging between high-rise and mid-rise, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a roof-top terrace, and a grey-brick façade. Some of the apartments feature inset or cantilevered balconies.

The Grade II listed buildings of the Fire Station have been restored with respect for historic architecture, featuring a brown-brick façade, as opposed to the lighter tone of the modern residencies, and a tiled roof, preserving the original style of architectural traditions of the past.

What is inside?

The residential complex greets its owners and guests with a lounge area, equipped with a 24-hour concierge, and a quiet workplace. For those, who prefer spending time outside, Brigade Court nurtures a courtyard, shielded from the hustle of the city by the complex’s walls. The residents can also upgrade their outdoor experience with a spectacular view of London from the communal roof terraces on the 7th and 8th floors.

Brigade Court is equipped for different leisure activities. There is a screening room, designed as an old-style cinema with a modern touch. The complex’s fusion of the past and present styles is also evident in its on-site gym, where modern fitness equipment is combined with a raw aesthetic of old training sites.
