About the project
Brocap has entered into a cooperation agreement with the current owner NEBIM Belgium , which uses the industrial site as a repair workshop for truck bodywork . There is limited soil and groundwater contamination with mineral oil on the site. Since the contamination is located under the existing buildings, remediation will be necessary when the site is redeveloped.
The De Stip real estate project concerns the REdevelopment of this industrial site, located at Deerlijksesteenweg 39, adjacent to the Kortrijk-Ghent railway, near the Harelbeke slip road of the E17.
Today, the site forms, as it were, an “industrial island” between numerous other uses and customs. To the east the site connects to an industrial zone 'De Geit', to the south the site abuts a cemetery and police station. To the north and west, the site adjoins a residential zone. Although the accessibility options lend themselves to limited activity via the N41 - E17, it is clear that 'environmentally harmful industry' is not appropriate here.
