In conjunction with the state’s orientations for the development of Upper Egypt, “Mabany Edris” company signed a cooperation agreement with the Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts Group “IHG” to manage the “Holiday Inn” hotel, the first globally managed hotel in the heart of Upper Egypt in the city of New Assiut, in the “Asayla” compound.

The signing took place in the presence of officials of the New Urban Communities Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, the head of the New Assiut City Authority, and the leaders of the Mabany Edris Company and Intercontinental International.

The Holiday Inn Asayla hotel in New Assiut is set to become the 3rd Holiday Inn hotel for the Intercontinental Group in Egypt, and its 1st hotel in the heart of Upper Egypt. It includes 157 hotel rooms overlooking a strategic location near the city of Assiut along the banks of the Nile. The hotel is also close to the most prominent cultural landmarks in the city, Assiut University Colleges and Sphinx University.

The hotel is a 4-star category with 5-star services and is expected to open in 2024 with an investment of 250 million pounds. It aims to be an ideal destination for tourism, entrepreneurs and entertainment. It includes fully equipped guest rooms in addition to excellent facilities that include four meeting rooms (545 square meters in total) and a ballroom (450 square meters) and the three halls accommodate 1000 people, in addition to the spa, fitness center and a swimming pool for relaxation.
