About the project

The newly constructed Mika Residence is a three-floor residential building located in Makedonitissa comprising eight apartments of one- and two-bedrooms with private storerooms and allocated parking. It is a superbly designed apartment block that stands out for its clean architectural volumes and vertical decorative elements.

Not too far from Makedonitissa chapel, Mika Residence is situated at the end of a quiet residential street, Rodopis, and borders with green. The University of Nicosia, the Embassy of Ukraine, Makario Stadium, The Cyprus Expo, and Apolloneio Hospital are all within reach in under 1.5 kilometers. Engomi's shopping district with its abundance of retail and dining shops is within walking distance from the site.

Inside and out, Mika Residence has been completed using only the finest construction materials and with attention to detail. The lobby area is monitored with a security camera and features suspended ceilings with hidden LED lighting, elegant letterboxes, and a landscaped entrance with night-lighting and automated light sensors in the parking area. The communal stairwell is finished in granite and a modern elevator with decorative cart serves the whole building.

The finished apartments offer spacious living areas with unparalleled urban views that one can observe from different openings. The open-plan living room features a designer kitchen with a multi-functional island extension and supermarket, and includes points for built-in white goods (2 washing machines, fridge, microwave, stove, oven).

The living room zone has two TV points, which makes the choice of sofa orientation more flexible, and faces the large covered veranda fitted with modern lighting fixtures and laminated glazed balustrades. The top floor apartments enjoy an extra benefit of having private roof gardens accessible from their verandas via a rail staircases.

All bedrooms offer fully organized wardrobes with ample storage space and have multiple electricity outlets. The bedrooms offer large pane windows that offer beautiful vistas of the city of Nicosia, which will be of double-glassing with thermo-aluminum frames. The two bedroom apartments offer two minimalist bathrooms with walk-in shower, one of them also serves as guest toiler/powder room. The master bedroom comes with its private en-suite facilities and, on the second floor only, with an uncovered balcony on the back side.

The apartments’ floors have been intubated in preparation for the complete installation of an underfloor central heating with heat-pump. Moreover, provisions have been made for air-condition split-units in all areas of the apartments. Other technical features for each apartment include the water pressure system, the solar water heater, and three phase current distribution that supports multiple electrical devices working simultaneously.

The apartments are bathed in bountiful natural light and fresh air enters the spaces from different openings. Many luxury finishes and added features have been included to reflect Mika’s high building standards, and choices of contemporary flooring (60x120 cm tiles), exterior light fixtures, and sanitary goods of the highest quality. The building has been realized using traditional construction methods, unified armed concrete foundations and 200 cm perforated brick walling on the exterior. The building is fully thermo- and water-insulated, including the verandas, the roof, the beams and columns, and it complies in full with the latest seismic and fire standards.
