The Factory was designed in 1902 by Frans Seroen for the metalworking company "la Société Anonyme L'Essor Anversois". The Factory's most striking feature is without a doubt its eclectic-style facade, which is marked by the two elaborate corner bays and the cornice with red brick parament.

Conix RBDM architects was commissioned to redesign this characterful building into a high-quality, sustainable and contemporary residential project. Conix RBDM architects has succeeded in translating the qualities of this building into a contemporary design while retaining the beautiful, authentic elements that characterize this building. The design therefore starts from the beautiful facade that is preserved and gives a timeless character to this building. All this results in a new, idiosyncratic and refined (re)construction project in a prime location.
